SAINSBURY’S has started selling Christmas puddings — in August.
The grocery store large has stuffed its cabinets with the treats regardless of December 25 being 4 months away.
Shopper Lydia Rogers, 37, of Woking, Surrey, mentioned: “I’d simply nipped into Sainsbury’s to get a loaf of bread after I noticed a shelf stuffed with Christmas puddings on the market.
“I couldn’t consider my eyes — my children aren’t even again at college after their summer season holidays.
“I didn’t feel tempted. It’s just crackers.”
Sainsbury’s are stocking six and 18-month matured puds laced with brandy, cider, sultanas and nutmeg.
