The B-Devils paid tribute to Phillips throughout Monday evening’s recreation with a second of silence and showcased footage of him.
“We’ve had other situations like that where we’ve had moments of silence for various reasons, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen the people clap like they did for Don,” Mitchell stated.
According to his obituary, Phillips died at age 74 from pure causes. His funeral might be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Binghamton.
