Spacey is scheduled to be arraigned at Nantucket District Court on Jan. 7 on a single cost of indecent assault and battery on an individual who’s least 14 years outdated, in line with courtroom paperwork and a press release issued by Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe.
The cost in opposition to Spacey, 59, whose full title is Kevin Spacey Fowler, was filed after a Dec. 20 listening to, O’Keefe stated. The title on the criticism was Kevin S. Fowler.
An legal professional for Spacey didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
The cost follows an allegation in November 2017 by Boston tv journalist Heather Unruh that her 18-year-old son was sexually assaulted by Spacey in a late-night encounter on the Club Car restaurant and bar in Nantucket on July 7, 2016.
At a information convention in which she made the allegations concerning Spacey, Unruh stated her “star struck” son falsely instructed the actor he was sufficiently old to drink when he met him on the bar, and was plied with liquor. The authorized age to drink alcoholic drinks in Massachusetts is 21 years outdated.
“Kevin Spacey bought him drink after drink after drink, and when my son was drunk, Spacey made his move and sexually assaulted him,” Unruh stated on the 2017 information convention.
The actor caught his palms into the younger man’s pants and grabbed his genitals, she stated, including that it was “completely unexpected” and that her son tried unsuccessfully to shift his physique away from Spacey.
“He did not report the crime at the time, and that was largely because of embarrassment and fear,” she stated.
Unruh stated her son filed a report with police in Nantucket, a resort island off the southern coast of Massachusetts, shortly earlier than her information convention.
